Jason Schechter is Head of Capital Markets at Hildene Capital Management.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Schechter was Global Head of CLO origination and US CLO trading at Jefferies. where he specialized in the origination and trading of collateralized loan obligations at the bank. Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Schechter served as Global Head of CLO Trading and Co-Head of CLO Origination at UBS, where he was responsible for restarting the CLO origination effort. Mr. Schechter spent the majority of his career at Lehman Brothers, most recently serving as Global Head of CLO Trading and Origination. He also held various other roles within the CLO/structured finance groups at Barclays, Morgan Stanley and Greenwich Nat West.

Mr. Schechter holds a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Mr. Scannell joined Hildene at the firm’s inception and currently serves as Senior Advisor, providing operations and compliance support for the CDO management business. Prior to his role as Senior Advisor, he served as COO.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Scannell worked in the structured finance market for 13 years, most recently as Vice President in the CDO structuring group at Citigroup. Before Citigroup, Mr. Scannell was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Mr. Scannell also was a litigator for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Before attending law school, Mr. Scannell was financial controller for the New York division of a Fortune 500 medical services company, responsible for financial controls and operations.

Mr. Scannell earned a JD and graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, and earned a BS in Accounting at San Diego State University.

Mr. Mobberley is Head of Business Development, where he is responsible for implementing the firm’s global business development and strategic growth plan at Hildene Capital Management. Mr. Mobberley also oversees the firm’s client partnerships, marketing and investor relations functions.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Mobberley was a Managing Director at One William Street Capital, where he focused on marketing and business development across consultants and institutional allocators. Mr. Mobberley also held similar positions at SPM, Axonic Capital and Corbin Capital Partners. Mr. Mobberley began his career at UBS Financial Services.

Mr. Mobberley earned a BA in Political Science and Government from The University of Colorado at Boulder.

Ms. Harris serves as Chief Compliance Officer, where she is responsible for overall firm and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Hildene, Ms. Harris was a Vice President in Compliance at Octagon Credit Investors. Before joining Octagon Credit Investors, Ms. Harris was Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at CIFC. Ms. Harris began her career as a Compliance Associate at Perella Weinberg Partners.

Ms. Harris obtained a JD and MBA in Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and earned a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany.

Mr. Resnick serves as General Counsel and Chief of Staff, where he oversees all legal and corporate matters.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Resnick was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Palestra Capital Management, with oversight of all aspects of Palestra’s legal and compliance program. Prior to that, Mr. Resnick was a Managing Director and Senior Counsel at Marathon Asset Management, where he was responsible for a broad range of fund and management company legal matters, including regulatory, tax and structuring. Before joining Marathon, Mr. Resnick was a contract attorney at Hughes, Hubbard and Reed/Hudson Legal, working on a multi-state pharmaceutical litigation.

Mr. Resnick graduated earned a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a BS from Cornell University.

Ms. Nam serves as Chief Operating Officer, where she is responsible for oversight and implementation of the operations and accounting functions across Hildene Capital Management’s platform. Prior to her role as COO, she served as Deputy General Counsel.

Prior to joining Hildene, Ms. Nam was Vice President and Counsel for Fortress Investment Group’s Credit Funds business, where she provided primary legal support to their CLO/CDO platforms and loan origination desks. Prior to Fortress, Ms. Nam was an Associate in the Restructuring and Finance Group at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she represented borrowers, issuers and creditors in a wide variety of leveraged finance and restructuring transactions.

Ms. Nam earned a JD from Columbia Law School and an AB in Politics from Princeton University. Ms. Nam also completed a Fulbright Scholarship in South Korea in 2003.

Mr. Dewanwala is Head of Research, where he oversees the risk, technology and analytics functions at Hildene Capital Management.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Dewanwala led hedge fund Metacapital Management’s structured credit business. In his role as Portfolio Manager, Mr. Dewanwala invested in Non-Agency Residential Mortgage-backed Securities (MBS), Asset-backed Securities, Agency MBS, specialty finance equities and corporate debt, and distressed municipal bonds. After working at Metacapital, Mr. Dewanwala founded Krivi, LLC to focus on application of large-scale data analysis and machine learning to structured products investing. He was also a Managing Director at Bay Crest Partners, LLC where he led the effort to modernize the broker-dealer’s fixed income business. Mr. Dewanwala performed data-oriented research to formulate strategic vision and created trading analytics and systems to help Bay Crest capture market share.

Mr. Dewanwala holds an MS degree in Financial Engineering from Columbia University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi in India.

Justin Gregory is Portfolio Manager at Hildene Capital Management. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing, investment analysis and execution of investments.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Gregory was a Portfolio Manager at Axonic Capital LLC, where he specialized in the sourcing, structuring, trading and portfolio management for residential, commercial, asset-backed and esoteric structured products. Before Axonic, he was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank AG on the Non-Agency Residential Mortgage Trading Desk. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Hudson Advisors/Lone Star Funds responsible for trading mortgage and asset-backed loans and securities. Mr. Gregory began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. on the mortgage desk where he traded and structured Alt-A securities.

Mr. Gregory received a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and is a CFA® charterholder.

Mr. Mehra is Co-Chief Investment Officer at Hildene Capital Management. In this role, he is responsible for the oversight of investment-related activities, including the management of Hildene’s private fund strategies and managed accounts, the buildout of the firm’s investment technology infrastructure and the development of new investment products, business initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Mehra was a Portfolio Manager at Pine River Capital in the Structured Products group, focusing on investments in CLOs, Non-Agency RMBS, ABS CDOs, other esoteric ABS and Asset Based Lending transactions. Mr. Mehra was also heavily involved in building out the quantitative models and infrastructure for investments in these products while at Pine River.  Prior to Pine River, Mr. Mehra was a Senior Associate at Hudson Advisors (Lone Star Funds), where he was responsible for underwriting investments in Non-Agency RMBS and ABS CDOs. Prior to that, he worked in various capacities at Bank of America’s Structured Securities Group.

Mr. Mehra graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a BS in Computer Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics, and holds an MS in Financial Engineering from Columbia University.

Mr. Jefferson is the Founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Hildene Capital Management, an asset management firm specializing in structured finance investments. Mr. Jefferson oversees all firm investment decisions and strategies. With over 25 years of combined experience in the structured finance market and the option arbitrage industry, Mr. Jefferson led Hildene to the Wall Street Journal (formerly Barron’s) Top 100 Annual Hedge Funds list for a seven-consecutive year period.

Prior to founding Hildene, Mr. Jefferson was a Senior Portfolio Manager of the Marathon Structured Finance Fund, which had no down months during his tenure. Prior to Marathon, he worked in the Structured Credit Products groups at Salomon Smith Barney and Chase Securities.

Mr. Jefferson graduated with a BA from Syracuse University and an MBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Jefferson serves on the board of SILAC Insurance Company. Additionally, Mr. Jefferson is very active in the community. He is a member of the board of directors of the Tewaaraton Foundation, which annually awards the Tewaaraton Trophy to the best college lacrosse player in the nation; as well as a board member of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). In 2023, Mr. Jefferson was awarded the Syracuse University Letterwinner of Distinction in recognition of his success after graduation and his mark on the athletics program.
