David Sherman

David Sherman is the Chief Financial Officer of Hildene Capital Management, where he oversees the operations and audit functions across the firm’s platform. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of Operations.

Prior to joining Hildene, Mr. Sherman was the Head of Operations at Metacapital Management, LP, where he played a key role in institutionalizing the platform of a rapidly growing agency mortgage hedge fund. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sherman was the Head of Operations for Nomura Global Alpha, a series of funds within the Nomura Asset Management platform. Following Nomura Global Alpha’s acquisition from Proxima Alfa (formerly Vega Asset Management), Mr. Sherman led the transition and developed the infrastructure to support the funds’ growth.

Mr. Sherman earned a B.S. from the Dyson School of Management at Cornell University, graduating cum laude, and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
